Course Overview
Enjoy learning how to use Japanese in specific ways while watching videos on topics of Japanese life and culture.
Learn about various aspects of Japanese lifestyles and Japanese expressions from the content and background of the videos, and develop your communication skills by discussing the videos with your classmates and instructors.
Prospective students eligible for this course
Introductory to Beginner level
For those who are new to learning Japanese to those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N4 level.
Lower-intermediate level and above
Those with Japanese ability equivalent to Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 or higher.
Course Features
Level-based lessons
We offer lessons according to your Japanese language ability. Please work hard to improve your Japanese skills as you are challenged and inspired by peers of the same level, and aim to move up to a higher level class.
Focus on practicality
We aim to help you acquire more practical Japanese language skills. If you can only take one lesson per week due to circumstances, or if two lessons per week are not enough for you, you will still be able to acquire practical skills according to your level.
Lesson Schedule
60 minutes per lesson
Beginner: 20:00-21:00 (JST)
Lower-intermediate and above: 21:00-22:00 (JST)
Number of Lessons & Course Duration
1 lesson per week
Beginner: 3 months
Lower-intermediate and above: 6-9 months

First Friday of every month

Application Process
Japanese Level Check (free of charge)
Please be sure to apply for the level check as lessons are offered based on level.
In order to apply for the level check, you will need to register with “Tokyo Hirogari E-learning” (free of charge).
※ The level check does not determine your enrollment in our school.
Notification of Level Check Results
We will inform you of the results of your level check.
We will provide you with the details of classes and lessons that are available. If you are interested in taking a class, please make a tentative application.
※ If a class does not reach the minimum number of students required, it is possible that the class may be cancelled.

Formal Application and Payment
You will be notified when the decision to start a course has been confirmed. At that time, please choose your course and send in your application.
Payment must be made at least one week prior to the class start date.
Course Starts
After payment is confirmed, we will send you a Zoom link, etc.
